"I rigged my cellular to send a message to my PDA, which is online with my PC, to get it to activate the voicemail, which sends the message to the inbox of my email, which routes it to the PDA, which beams it back to the cellular. Then I realized my gadgets have a better social life than I do." !" - Tom Ostad

Guys, i am planning to upgrade my Treo 750 running windows mobile 5 professional, but the trouble is i’ve visited my phone’s manufacturer website and they don’t have it anymore. They said that it ended last month. grrr! i’ve been googling around to search for that file.

Usually not possible to downgrade online, you can try the service center.
FYI, Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional is the name for the new version of "Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition". You shouldn’t be downgrading to Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition in most cases

That’s true there’s no way for you to downgrade from Windows Mobile 6 Professional to Windows Mobile 5 Professional. Unfortunately if you are still running Windows Mobile 5 Professional you’re too late to get the Windows Mobile 6 Professional upgrade software. I’ve been googling around to find some forum have a copy of the upgrade software for windows mobile 6 professional. Anyway i will be posting it if i found something because i am still running windows mobile 5. Is anyone have a copy of windows mobile 6 update? I have a palm treo 750.

Here it is:
Treo 750 2.19 Hutchison (triple w.filefactory.com/file/b9e1c2/n/Treo750_2_19_H3E_DesktopUpdater_exe)
Treo 750 2.26 Telstra (triple w.filefactory.com/file/641510/n/Treo750_2_26_ROW_EN_DesktopUpdater_exe)
Treo 750 Optus/Generic (triple w.filefactory.com/file/78314b/n/Treo750_2_27_ROW_APAC_EN_DesktopUpdater_exe)
Treo 750 Vodafone NZ (triple w.filefactory.com/file/3732a9/n/Vod_NZ_2_30_VFE_rar)
Take note guys that Treo 750 Vodafone for NZ is using Mini SD Card method, I will continue to search for Vodafone AU incase someone will need it.

Does the updater contain a new version of Active Sync?
I wanted to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 about a year ago, but I couldn’t because the Palm website told me I needed a new version of Active Sync (which required a new version of MS Office, which required a new PC and O/S, which I finally just got; I’ve now spent $2,000 on a "free" upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 !)

Good work!
Does this upgrade require a particular version of Active Sync? From memory, I couldn’t upgrade to WM 6 ba year ago because it needed a new version of Active Sync, which wouldn’t work with Office 2000.
(I now have a new PC with Xp and Office 2007, but… surprise… I obviously haven’t spent enough money to make Microsoft happy, because they took away the "free" upgrade to WM 6 that I was counting on!)

Guys, you need to download Activesync 4.5 to be able to install the Windows Mobile 6 on a Treo 750.
@Allen n: yep! it’s working flawlessly…i’ve been installing from Vodafone, Telstra, Hutch and Generic in one phone (Treo 750), everything works perfectly.
