Do you have a card reader? If so, just insert the SD card, and copy the BackupMan.prc file from your computer to the PalmLauncher folder in the SD card. The .prc file should be in your computer’s hotsync backup folder, in C:Program FilesPalm or C:Palm. If you don’t have it, redownload it from the website.

If you don’t have a card reader, you can install a program called CardReader that turns your 600 into a card reader. Or, you can hotsync BackupMan using a different name than your 600 originally had, to avoid any of the old data being synced to the 600.

Any way you do it, you must have BackupMan either in the 600’s memory or in the PalmLauncher folder in the card to be able to restore.

Normally when you go to your launcher and select SD card, you should be able to launch BackupMan.
At that point you can restore from your last backup.

I’m afraid I don’t understand some of this.

I have BackupMan icon on the launcher. When I touch it I see all the backups listed and below them, two icons one for schedule and one for backup. I can’t tell what else is on the card and don’t see any way to restore.

"insert the SD card, and copy the BackupMan.prc file from your computer to the PalmLauncher folder in the SD card."

Found the folder on the card using the card reader. Don’t get this. Folder BackupMan.PRC is already on the card. What’s next?

Still don’t understand or see any directions on how to restore the files from the card to the Treo.

Thanks, but I don’t see how.

    Please take it easy
We start asking basic questions to understand how you’re set up. It was necessary to know for sure that you had BackupMan installed on your card.

BackupMan’s main window has three areas. First, and larger area lists the backup sets. If you have more than one backup set, select the newest, unless you want to restore to a different point. Below it you have the button area with your two buttons, Backup, and Schedule. The third area is the Menu. You access it by tapping the "BackupMan" title on top of the window. There in the menu you have the Restore sub-menu (just as Holvy suspected ). Tap on Restore, then on Device. This will make a full restore of your 600.

I didn’t know this before today. I just discovered it minutes ago by installing BackupMan on my
