"I rigged my cellular to send a message to my PDA, which is online with my PC, to get it to activate the voicemail, which sends the message to the inbox of my email, which routes it to the PDA, which beams it back to the cellular. Then I realized my gadgets have a better social life than I do." !" - Tom Ostad

I googled (Medical Blackberry) and it yielded quite a bit of reading material.

There’s quite a bit software available for Blackberries nowadays although there is still more for Palm and Pocket PC (Windows Mobile) phones.
My personal preference is for a reasonable sized keyboard if you are planning on using the net, especially for writing emails.

And even more for smart phones
but smart phones are a bit less stable than windows mobile

there is a software called mdict for smartphones and pocket pc (i think it’s freeware) and you wouldn’t believe how many free medical dictionaries you can download off the internet - and you can load these up in your smartphone or pocket pc: no need for internet. however, i find that wifi can be very useful, if you opt not to get a heavy data plan. i have the htc wizard for more than two years now, and it is my pseudo-partner-in-crime ^_^

Screw the cellphone’s monthly wifi plans. Find a phone that can pick up free wifi from Burger King or your local hospital network. You use these networks more often and it saves you money. When you’re really traveling the cellphone wifi is worse than dial up anyway. Most hotels have wifi. Just keep this in mind.
